This is a followup to my first light shootout video, which can be found here:
When I originally did the light shootout, it seemed strange to me how dim the CAT COB light looked but I let it go for a while. It kept bugging me and finally I came up with the answer. The batteries were dying! I created this video to set the record straight and accurately show the brightness of the CAT COB light in comparison to the Milwaukee M12 LED Stick light and the Astro Pneumatics inspection light.
While trying to take a dent out of one of the rails on the front of the drawers on my toolbox, I got the idea to see what it would look like with them all removed. I ended up really liking the appearance of the box better without them, and thought I’d share the idea.
In this video I troubleshoot and replace a failed Draft/Induction motor blower assembly on my Goodman high-efficiency furnace. The symptoms were, furnace powers on, buzzes loudly, no air movement, and diagnostic code on circuit board indicating “Pressure Switch Stuck Open”.
I’m not an HVAC professional, but this problem is fairly straightforward to diagnose and complete.
Sssh… It’s a secrete.
This fun little video is the result of some brainstorming new hammer ideas for Trusty-Cook over on the Garage Journal forums.
Sadly they don’t offer a hammer like this yet in real life but maybe some day!

This is just a short tiny baby vidiero. Someone was talking about making a stubby ratchet by cutting down a longer one and it seemed like a good excuse to try out this new portable band saw I got. Went right through like a metal band saw through a ratchet!
Think the M12 Bandsaw looks friggin’ sweet? Grab one for yourself and cut balls off of things:
This is a slightly infortainstructional video on how to remove the detent/catch from the US General toolboxes sold at Harbor Freight. I’ve been told this fix actually works for several other brand toolboxes as well. It’d be worth taking one of your drawers out and looking if your tool box drawers seem to stick when pulling them out / pushing them in.
Thought I’d do a short (long) video about some of the portable lights I’ve got. In this video I compare the CAT CT1000, Astro Pneumatic 63071, the Milwaukee M12 2351-20 LED Stick, the Milwaukee M12 49-24-0145 Incandescent Work Light, and the “Snap-On” 922261 LED Drop Light.
NOTE: I’ve made a followup video to correct a mistake I made in this shootout. The CAT CT1000 batteries were running low and the light is much dimmer than normal. You can view the updated performance of the CT1000 with fresh batteries here:
