After a bad experience with a photo backdrop we purchased on Amazon, we decided to make something ourselves.
With around 25$ in supplies, we were able to increase the quality of our product shots and gain a versatile new tool for photo and video work.
This is the backdrop we purchased which was very low quality. I would probably recommend avoiding any similar backdrops.
When purchasing things from Joann Fabrics, you should always make use of their coupons. If we paid full price for the fabric we’d probably have spent twice as much, but there are always coupons running and sales so check local sale papers as well.
The spring clamps I purchased from Big Lots in a small draw string net bag for a few bucks, but these Neewer ones are very similar off Amazon.
You probably could find cheap spring clamps at your local big box hardware store as well.
Curtain rods can be purchased almost everywhere that home products are sold, and come in many varieties. I think these square shaped ones are easier to clip on to, but you could use a round curtain rod as well. Just make sure to consider how long of a span you need to hang the fabric you want to use and purchase a strong enough curtain rod to keep it from sagging.
